The fact that people think doing away with hound hunting will solve any problems is beyond me. It won't keep dogs out of shelters and it won't keep them off your property. And to any still hunters who don't believe in using dogs for hunting... Don't get comfortable. It started with fox pens and now hunting dogs in general. Don't act surprised when all hunting rights are taken away by liberals and tree huggers. If there continues to be such a division between hunters it'll happen. All these animal rights groups are sitting by watching hunters tear each other down. They're waiting for the moment they can swoop in and ban all hunting.

Virginia is strong in traditions and one of those traditions is hunting. In many of her counties hunting is allowed with the use of walkers and beagles. Commanly knew as hound hunting. Many who are not familiar with this type of hunting froud upon it saying it unsportsmanlike. Ignored to the traditions of our forfathersite they are lead to believe false claims through the eyes of Hollywood and it's liberal brainwashing tatics. learn the facts, support our traditions.

I have been hunting all my life, I am from Missouri where dogs are not used. I belong to a hunt club in Virginia. I sill still hunt and hunt when they run dogs, I like still hunting because the deer are more relaxed, you have time to see what your shooting, when deerare run by dogs you don't have time to check the deer out, most of the time I listen to the dogs run some of them have good voices. people that hunt with dogs that's ok, I will keep still hunting, I like to watch the deer in its natural habitat.

Hunting with hounds has been around since before most people living now has been alive.....you people that dont understand our ways try to stop it......We pay money lots of money to hunt with hounds. Truck, Gas, Dog food, Tracking, Collars, Dog meds, Dog box,land to hunt, tires for the truck, Auto shops that get the trucks that break down, welders that make the dog boxes....alot of money is spent on hunting with hounds. Also it keeps Kids off the street away from issues. .

I have been hunting with my husband for over 10 years. Our dogs are a priority to us. We do everything that is possible to make them who they are hunting dogs. Some people choose to make this season (quote a stupid season). If it was not for this SPORT the insurance companies would be breaking the people backs by taking money to fix their vehicles. People needs to look there is a lot of benefits to OUR SPORT. We keep the deer population down, donate the meat to people that do not get help etc. If you do no not the benefits that without the negatives than you do not know the sport.
