Im a long time hunter of both and I love to still hunt during the rut but once its over I love to hear the hounds. if anything hold off on dog season til after the rut

The economic benefit is substantial considering the lodging, meals, supplies and gas that will need to be purchased from the corresponding local businesses. Hunters are good for the economy. Hunting continues to be a respected, traditional outdoor activity that remains a significant and integral part of our heritage, culture and environment.

hunting with hounds is and has always been a virginia Tradition. I started my son with rabbit beagles., it taught him to be responsible ,got him out of the house , off the street. He is a good man and Houndsman. I think if our Law makers are going to spend thier Time and our money to end something ,this should not make the list!
