This program is amazing and it would be a shame to see it change. It has positively affected so many people. This program has changed so many lives for the better.

I have attended the gifted program since elementary school, and it has taught me so many new things not only about education, but about not being afraid to stand up for what you believe in and being yourself. I would hate to see all of our (gifted students) memories and education from this program vanish.

I have two children in the gifted program . One who is a member of the Robotic's team. It is a shame to the education system of Limestone County that this is even being considered!

Through the gifted program, I habe learned to branch out of my comfort zone and do things that not only benefit me but help others as well. Gifted students think differently than other students and through this program we are able to express ourselves and take part in activities that we would not get to experience at our home school.

The thought of having the gifted program taken from the LCCTC concerns me. The program has helped me since I was in the second grade. I have received opportunities that would not have been available to me otherwise. I have been to educational sites such as the Parthenon in Nashville, and the Bodies Exhibit in Atlanta.
I have been pushed creatively and intellectually in the lessons that we partake in. I have learned new things and been apart of tremendous experiences, not to mention the amazing memories I have with great people.
The program has helped me get close to overcoming my fear of public speaking. My social skills have been strengthened through the different aspects of the program.
There are many different activities that are open for students such as the Model United Nations, and First Robotics. Students like myself who are taking certain classes at my home school such as foreign languages and can't take classes at the Tech school have had the opportunity to participate in those activities.
I joined the First Robotics team 34 at the LCCTC this year and I am incredibly happy that I did. I was reluctant at first, but it has allowed me to be apart of a second family of great people. I have also been introduced to the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) field through the program and robotics team.
The gifted program is a place where many people, me included, can feel like we belong. I ask that you please not take the gifted program away from the LCCTC.

My cousin teaches gifted education at this school and I have heard so much about how great these kids are. I think it is great that they are given a place where they can show just how bright they really are.

This program has benefitted me in more ways than I can express, and it would be an utter shame to see it be deminished.

To add to the above statement.
Many of the home schools, such as West Limestone, have only a few students enrolled in the gifted program, so relocating gifted to the home schools would actually cause not only an inconvenience to the gifted teachers who would have to travel school-to-school to teach students, but would also increase expenses on the school system as a whole

The Gifted Program is a very special gift to the limestone county school. As a senior in college I have talked to many other students about their gifted experience. None of them compare to the experience I have had in the limestone county gifted program. This program is unique because it also allows networking between the county school and creates a sense of unity. It also beneficial when going off to college because you know a lot more faces.

The gift program should remain at the tech school. The gift students deserve to be introduced to experiences that the other kids are not. This is an honor for them. And they should have the opportunity to be around other kids in the county that share the same interest.
