I am a gifted student and I think gifted education should be kept at the tech school!!

I have 4 grandchildren who are in the gifted program and it has provided them with opportunities they didn't receive from anywhere else. Because it is at the tech school they get to collaborate with a diverse group of people from other schools which provides more benefit and enrichment for these students. To lost that would be very detrimental.

I am a member of the gifted program and I have been greatly affected by it. Now I am coming into my most important years in the gifted program and taking it away would make all my years for loss.

A friend of mine is a part of this program, and I think that it's best to keep it. She has so much to offer, and from what she's told me that this program is really great.

I have had two sons go through the gifted program. One will graduate from UA with a master's degree in electrical engineering in August of this year, and the other graduated with an undergraduate degree in accounting this past December from UA and will return in the fall to start his graduate degree. The gifted program was very beneficial in their academic careers. I also have a daughter currently involved in the gifted program, and I feel she should have the same opportunities her brothers received. This program is one of the few things our school system offers to help gifted students reach their full potential

Our tech teacher says she will not travel around to 6 different schools and we really like her and she helps us learn new things!!

Moving this to the home schools would require many more resources and faculty. I don't see where these would come from so the program would die from lack of support. I petitioned for the establishment of this program and would hate to see it go away. It is very important to our children.
