Keep the gifted program for the good of the children. They love
it and learn so much.

I have two (2) kids currently in the program. This program allows kids that qualify for the program additional learning opportunities that are not available in the normal county system. This allows kids from the county schools access to opportunities that are available to larger schools systems. It needs to be kept in place.

The gifted program presents opportunities to kids they can't get anywhere else. I would sign this petition 500 times myself if I could.

I participated in gifted all during elementary through high school and I can say it was honestly one of the best things that I was able to do.

Do not take this program away from the young people. This program is to helpful for all of them, this program is the reason a lot of kids get into college. To further there knowledge. Don't take this program from the kids

These types of programs are essential for our gifted youth. Without them, these children may feel alienated and have less chance for meaningful and stimulating social interaction.

My child is a third grader who enjoys the once weekly gifted class so much. She is one of very few children from third grade at her school to go and the only girl in the group from her school. Although I do wish she did not need to travel so far for the program I do not see how moving it to the home school would be beneficial. I feel like the program would be pushed to the side and the group activities that they participate in would not be possible with so few students. I love Limestone County Schools and I appreciate so much the steps Dr. Sisk has made to keep our students safe but I must wonder why we are thinking of taking a step back when so many other school systems around us are strengthening their gifted programs.

I am a mother of a very shy boy who has excelled in this program. He was chosen by his teachers to be 1 of 6 kids in the Limestone County Schools to be on the Lego Robotics Team . They went last Friday to the first robotics competition in Huntsville and brought home first place. I think it would be devastating for him not to be able to go back to the Tec School and inter react with his new friends that he probably would have never met if it wasn't for the program.

Please leave the gifted program at the tech school!!!! My daughter is part of the group. She loves the program and tech school. We're afraid if the program is moved to the students schools it will be done away with at our school due to the fact that they are not very cooperative as it is. We feel the kids benefit from the program and the awesome teachers!!!!!

I attended the Gifted Program from 2nd grade until I graduated high school. This program pushed me to the best me that I could be. Had I not had the opportunities and experiences I gained from being a part of this program, I am confident that I would not be the college graduate, the teacher, the citizen, or the person in general that I am today.
