This is all about the money; I guarentee if the mother was the beneficiary when Brad passed there wouldn't have been any issues. Brad knew this and that is why she was not named the beneficiary; if she was she would've spent it all on the coon hunting dogs.

These 2 boys loved thier Father, Brad,and are very proud to be a "Mews". For their short lives, this is the only last name they ever knew. The mother should think of these 2 great kids instead of herself. Their father was a very smart, hardworking man and would help anybody out--These kids are fortunate to have a dad everybody liked and loved as much as him!

Brad was a very sweet person with a kind heart and his boys should keep his last name, it was given to them at birth that is a part of who they are, it would be a shame to take that from them.

This would be a shame the boys have already lost their dad let them at least keep their name. I think the grandparents have rights that they should be fighting for.

I knew Brad, the boys and their mom. The boys always talked about their dad and were always so excited when their dad picked them up from daycare. I think the mom should keep their last name as "Mews". It isnt right to change their last name just because she didn't get along with their dad.

A father passing his last name onto their son has been a tradition beyond any of our many years it goes back farther then any of us could remember we've lost to many traditions to allow this one to be broken Brad's memory will alway's live in his boys hearts and i'm sure someday will understand and be very very proud to carry on his legacy to take that away from his heirs would be wrong in so many ways.

Dear Judge, In the best interest of Lorin & Landon Mews, I belive the changing of the last name to the mother's will confuse & damage the boys for life. At 5 & 4 year old children do remember the good ( or bad ) things in there life. Please let these two little boys live the rest of there lives knowing that there last name is Mews and there Daddy loved them dearly. And that why since birth they carried his last name and they can pass it on to there children for many generations to come. Thank you for taking the time to read this petition and see how many people love Brad & his boys.

This father tragically died, he did not abandon his sons. He was and still is their Daddy. It would be wrong to take away the unmeasurable worth in the pride they have of maintaining their Dad's name.
