Brad loved those boys more than anything! Let them carry their on their Dad's last name. This is all they have left to remember and honor him.

Brad was one of the hardest working person anyone could know n would do anything for his boy n loved them very much. This thing that's going on is all about the mother not getting any money nor does she deserve any. Those boy deserve the last name mews and it should stay that way!

This is truly heartbreaking. I'm so sorry for your loss. His name should be held high and honored, I pray for the best for your family.

There are a few exceptions in what is your right and what is not. In this case, the family is causing no harm. He 2 boys are 1/2 their blood and the boys can make that choice to change their name down the road if that is what they choose in life. Just because someone passes on, doesnt mean we wash away the reminders and memories.

He did not abandon his children. Let these two wonderful boys carry their daddy's last name.

Please consider keeping our family's feelings. We just lost him a couple months ago. The Mews family is a wonderful family! I wonder if Michelle is doing this, because she has not mourned Brad's death, yet. Is she trying to forget that she had the relationship with him? She can't wipe away the fact that she had 2 children with him. Please pray for this judge as this will be a decision not made lightly.

Please let them carry on his last name! They deserve to at least have that after losing him!

The boys are 50% genetically engineered from their father, just as they are from their Mother. A child loosing a parent at such a young age is tragic enough, but to try to change their fragile identities in the time of sorrow seems blatantly cruel. As children, we were not given a choice of who our family's are; therefore it's the parents RESPONIBILITY to do everything humanely powerful to assure our children's well beings. The problem with broken homes is the fueding between two parents, two people that at one time loved each other enough to start a family. Those are the things that need to be remembered in interactions.. For the sole purpose of the children who are 1/2 of each parent and caught in the middle of a war they have no right being in. These children have had a few years under their belt using their fathers name. They should continue to be ALLOWED to carry on his name until the time comes that they decide they don't want to.

Those boys should keep their fathers name alive. There is no good reason to change their names. how disrespectful to their dad and to the boys

My condolence to the Mews family. Things decisions should only be made by the kids when they reach the age of 18 or 21. as adults we are the guardians

so sad someone would want these boys not to have the "Mews" last name!!! Brad is missed by many but I bet his boys miss him the most!!! Keep the name and shame on the ones trying to change it!!!

I sure hope they keep his last name! I would NEVER even think about changing my kids last name even if Troy and I were to go seperate ways, let alone, if something were to happen to Troy!

These boys have been through so much..They need to try to have some closure and not get confused on who they are.
