This petition is a protest against the plans of the belgian federal government to cancel some flights of cargo airlines @ Brussels airport due to complaints of noise of some local organisations. We think that if you buy a house in a radius of 3 kilometers of the airport and you don\'t take the initiative to isolate it very well you don\'t have a right to complain. More than 60,000 people have a job (direct or indirect) on this airport. Sign this petition if you prefer jobs instead of sleep for some others. At this very moment people are building and buying cheap ground and houses around the airport. That\'s like complaining when you buy a house next to a railroad. Like they didn\'t know that there would be noise. We are not against the people who live close to the airport. But we do believe that the government needs to be reasonable. People who live next to a railroad don\'t sue the NMBS because of the noise. All we ask is a fair noise policy for the people but also for the airlines.
