DO NOT CHANGE FROM THE CURRENT CELLULOID BALL TO THE PLASTIC BALL. 5 months before the introduction of the new ball in July 2014 we still do not have any 3 STAR APPROVED balls to train with in Australia. The current rubbish on the market is not ITTF approved and the quality is terrible. Nobody knows where to get the Xushaofa 3 STAR ITTF approved balls. Very poorly handled on many fronts.

Who benefits from this change anyway? Someone in the ITTF is getting something out of this.
It does not do the sport any good with all these changes. No valid reason at all. Attract more viewers? Keep on dreaming. Changing the equipment will NOT do that.
You need to implement a program much like what the Chinese do to attract all the high quality players.
We need someone with a vision to lead our sport, right now it's going down a blind alley.

Keep that plastic ball OFF our tables. Celluloid is the only ball for Table Tennis. Spin and Sound are perfect. Don't mess with the game. Just to make someone some money.

The ball is too noisy and cannot be turned to spin as much. Breaks too easily .Also too expensive.

Please keep the celluloid table tennis balls. Reasons for changing the ball are not credible. You change the ball you change the sport

Plastic or other materials derived from plastic are more detrimental than any other non- biodegradable and insoluble components.they are not subject to decomposition per se, thereby it creates a very serious impact to our ecosystem.

A less-spinny table tennis is definitely not healthy to the industry I believe. I think the change is rather pointless, but the real reason to sign the petition is that it makes the sports worse. I sincerely hope they will terminate this change. Thanks.

After increasing to 40 mm diameter game became more exciting. I'm for that not to change the sound and did not decrease the spin. It is important for the audience and for the players. While plastic balls will not reach the same flight parameters must play celluloid balls

The new ball is taking away the most essential, unique, and fun aspect of the game - aka spin. Just this alone I can rest my case.
In addition, the production process is nowhere near the current balls we have, such as 3-star Nittaku, where the balls are so perfect. Why re-invent the wheel for no apparent gain?
