Our daughter will be the third generation that will attend that beautiful historical school. So we ask that you re-consider and look at other options. Such as one similiar to the south Okanagan school districts; four day school weeks that had successfully keep schools from closing by reducing costs.

AES has been a source of history and tradition for my family. We would all hate to see it not being used anymore. Such a landmark for Armstrong.

Generations of children have gone to this school, a living history, that is something you can't replace. The outdoor fields and forest that feed our children's imagination and physical development is so important today with so much time spent in front of a screen. When we moved here part of the reason was for my child to go to AES. It's a symbol of this town we live in.

AS is a wonderful school with a strong history. It would be ashame to remove it from the school system. There are few schools with such a grand heritage. I be leave that mixing the young more influential children with the older students is a big mistake. In these times it is hard enough for kids to be kids.
I'm sure that there are many other ways to cut costs. I can't help but think that there are developers that are pushing to gain the valuable property.

My grandson's attend this school and love it. They can walk or bike to it. It functions beautifully as an elementary school and has a caring community feel about it. The suggestion of closing a school and shifting grade 6 children to another is ridiculous and has been tried and failed the children miserably in this district. As a former teacher in this district and having taught grade six, I can honestly day that they are not developmentally ready for middle school at that age. Please consider the needs of this community rather than seeing them as a dollar figure and a way to balance the budjet.

I grew up in Armstrong, and AES was my school from K to Grade 7. Put it back to this format and shut down Len Wood.

How ridiculous is that am grade 6 students in same school with grade 11 and 12 ... Only asking for trouble and those poor young students at that age should not be subjected to peer pressures such as that

Why would it make any sense to close a historical building as a school? Come on people there is education in the foundation of that building alone. Close highland park.
