AES has gone thru 4 generations of my family. It is historic to Armstrong and would be a shame to lose it

Whatever happened to simplicity? If you would like our children to accomplish complete success.. Why are we making their worlds so hard to live in? Where's the spirit of community?!?! Man.. If it's not broke don't fix it... :-/

I was a student at AES from K-7. I have so many great memories from going to that school. There is so much history and heritage that needs to continue! Keep AES open!

Please do not close our beloved Armstrong Elementary! Our students, our, teachers, our families, and our town love this school. It is an important part of Armstrongs past and even the grounds of the school are important for our children's development. Where else can our children get the type of natural play that is so important, with teachers who are so caring for their students? Please find a different way to make budget cuts, and look at not just the district enroll net but each city separately, talk to the school district in the south Okanagan about 4 day school weeks, or the option of k-3,4-7,8-12. Instead of just making this decision on your own and not listening to what is best for the town of Armstrong!

The school is a part of Armstrong just like the IPE. It's got character and everyone in town has a story about going to that school. Great childhood memories.

AES has been serving students longer than any other school in the community. It has a deep routed history just like the community. This should be the last school to close. The school is nearly a century old!

That school is history! I attended as a child from kindergarten all the way to grade 7. I was lucky enough to go to school there! It's an amazing place with amazing teachers and staff. The school grounds positively influenced my life with a love of nature and an ingrained philosophy to care about the earth. As it is so vast and nature orientated space for children to use their imaginations and be physically active.

AES is Armstrong. It's history runs deep within the community. It is of sound infrastructure and has a wonderful area for outdoor schooling which many of the teachers are incorporating into their curriculum. It is also within walking distance for many of the homes in the area which decrease need for bussing.

When our family moved to Armstrong in 1995, my sister and I attended AES. It was filled with friendly kids, great teachers, history, and fun. We both have very fond memories (and scars) from the playground and adventures; even though it's changed and been updated over the years. Don't let this landmark collapse. Let the generations of inquisitive minds continue on there.

This school is a historical cornerstone of the education system in our area and should be respected as such. Decisions to close this school made by people who do not live here should no be accepted as valid.
