This is a cherished building in Armstrong--but not simply because it is historic but because it is where children have gone to learn, where teachers love to be, where creativity blooms, where families come together and it has done so for generations. Please don't let them take this away from us.

AES has incredibly beautiful and stimulating property which is wonderful for children, the big hill, forest and fields. I attended AES from kindergarten to grade seven and absolutely lived it. The building itself is a gem to the Armstrong community. It needs to continue as a place of learning, not a museum! It would be such a loss.

I went to AES when I was younger and if I ever do have kids I would love for them to go there too! A line of generations in my family have gone to AES. It is apart of Armstrong!

Hi, I went to aes as a little girl and I meet my best friend there we live just down the road from eachother. The school is amazing. If you take Armstrong to one elementary school there will be no diversity in Len wood middle school. Kids need to meet different kinds of kids all the time. Having two elementary schools helps.

I attended AES from grades 3-5. Some of my favourite and best memories came from those short 3 years running around the forested chip trail, sledding on the hill during the winter and playing the games painted on the cement out back (most of which can only be done at AES). I felt proud to be able to attend a school that had such a historical connection with community. Please save Armstrong Elementary! Armstrong simply would not be the same without it up and running!

We should be thinking of our students first, money second. Our Government needs to stop strangling our budgets with unreal expectations. 1.2 million really where do they think that can be cut. Please don't close my school, the students deserve to be educated in this school close to where they live. That's why we move to small communities.

I went there as a child from k-2 wished we stayed there I had awesome teachers and I loved it there plsss keep AES so more generations can continue..I'd love to see my nephew and niece attend when their old enough!!!!

Please...PLEASE do NOT close AES. There ARE other area within the Municipality where savings can be made, and costs cut. Closing a school is nothing short of attacking the vulnerable.

85% of the SD budget cannot be touched as it is for wages and admin, so they are sacrificing our children to meet their budget requirements which are mandated by the Province. It appears that the Province is using our children to get ride of teachers by closing schools; as they cannot touch them while they are in Supreme Court defending class composition and classroom sizes.
