I attended A.E.S from grades 3 to 6 and have nothing but incredible memories of this school. It is rich in history and provides such a beautiful and large area for kids to grow, learn and play just as I once did. It would be a tragedy if this school stoped operating, it is a truly unique and special school. I remeber the deep woods at the top of the grounds that we played kick the can in, the big hill we all slid down during winter and rolled down in spring, the tether balls where crowds gathered to watch intense matches, the big play ground where we played tag and grounders, the trail where we ran cross country, the smaller play ground off to the side with the teeter totters and the beautiful front entrance to the infamous brick school where buses lined up to drop off and pick students up! I vote for more memories like this for the kids of Armstrong, I vote for the continuing of and the making of history for this school and I sign this petition in hope to help it carry on its vast legacy!

I walked through this school recently and was so impressed by its feel. I attended here as a child as did my mom and I was pleased how awesome it felt and looked.

I went to this school first three years of my school years.....I want my 5 year old to go to this school next year too...and any other child in this GROWING town! THIS SCHOO

I was the third generation in my family to attend AES. Its historical value is one of the strongest in the community. Without its continued operation, the school will likely fall into disrepair and a part of Armstrong's history will become lost forever.

With the population of North Okanagan growing, we will need all the schools we have. If they close the school what will happen to the building ? Will it be torn down ?

Keep the fight strong teachers, students, parents of the Brick School!!! I know the dedication of the educators in this school, most have given their heart and soul into the generations of children who have step through those doors.
To those who make the decisions...consider the ramifications of moving those young, impressionable children to a less friendly environment.

I went to AES.. My mother went to AES and my mothers mother went to AES.. This school is a historical part of Armstrong...and to see this school close would be beyond heartbreaking!! Please find the funds somewhere else... Save this school!

PLEASE don't close AES!! The brick school is a monument in Armstrong. My children's grandparents attended that school and it means a lot to many!! The thought of closing such a historical school is heartbreaking!

This school will not shut down. Let's disect the provincial budget if need be, and find more appropriate cost saving measures than degrading our childrens education. Let's look at subsidies to large campaign donors maybe? What type of extra funds are kicking around from B.C.'s property transfer tax program? We will get to the bottom of why this drop in the bucket cost savings is absolutely necessary necessary despite the disastrous community consequences it will create.
