I would ask that the board consider the impact that leaving the CIAC would have on the WA community as a whole. I find it hard to believe that fielding teams in NEPSAC would greatly increase the academy's competitiveness in recruiting tuition paying students. It would, however, change the high school experience for students from the sending towns. Even if they were to participate, scheduling games during the middle of the day would diminish the academic experience despite what our administrators say. Additionally, I find the condescending manner in which this has been handled to be insulting to our commmunity.

Moving out of CIAC to join NEPSAC is the sending the wrong message to High School athletes. Stay with CIAC

Who is the anonymous cowardly commenter? The postgrad project is a poor choice and wasteful space and energy in the classroom as well as affecting community student athletes an opportunity to participate on a level playing field with their local peers. According to a reputable source "students" are assigned "classes" but are not required to participate and may spend time on phones or other optional activities during scheduled class time. The foreign post grads may return home once the sports season is complete, regardless of school calendar requirements for real students. This is an sad message it is sending to the 15-18 year old students. If WA sees the value of these "drop in a bucket #'s" of this program, and its goal is to fund the acquisition of a second campus as well as feel the desire and need to be "put on the map" to keep up with the Jones', my and many others will be making a BETTER high school choice in the future.

High school athletics are one of the things that connect our youth to the community- please keep WA in the CIAC.

We are concerned of the impact this change would have on students who reside IN DISTRICT!

Ciac is not getting you anywhere. If you want to pursue a sport at the college level, the prep league is the best option. Everyone will still be able to play their sport, their will be plenty levels and teams to play on while having the best opportunity for exposure for student athletes to futher develope and continue playing the sport they love at the highest level possible while getting an education.

It would be outrageous for us to switch out of CIAC

The Academy was founded on the local spending towns. Don't take their chance to play varsity sports away for money!

This move will take away the best time Possible in these boys and girls lifes. Is it really worth it? This is all about Money, your loyalty should be with the Local families! The fifth year students This year have turned the once beautiful School/ atmosphere into a loud, negative Situation in the hallways, using bulling Type intimidation. I believe this will get Much worse with more 19 and 20 year Olds roaming the school.

This is absolutely WRONG to take away a child's high school experience. They worked hard all of their lives and it is a right of passage to move up the ranks in sports. To bring in srudents that will rob local kids of their positions on the various teams is wrong and emotionally hurtful to the "real" Woodstock Academy kids.

Stick with CIAC; changing will tip playing field in favor of Private pay students; the families that live here will be short changed, all the way from sports to college applications;

These student athletes have worked very hard to secure their current positions and to represent their school. It would be a shame to "throw them under the bus"!!

CIAC was great for us I say stick with them. Or all athletes will be underserved.

I have 4 grandchildren that I have watched play youth sports. I enjoy watching them and their friends play together. I want this to continue in high school. I won't go to the games if I don't know the players. Please don't take this away from us grandparents.

I am in grade 8 and I was considering going to WA. I was hoping to eventually play varsity sports. Seems like if WA goes to NEPSAC I will not be able to do that.
