Closing this road will create environmental impact as it will increase car use on longer journeys and will lead to congestion as well as inconvenience a lot more people .

Agree with the comments....It would be unwise to close the Wolvershill bridge. Leaving West Wick to get to the M5 is a nightmare now. This would make congestion so much worse.

Ridiculous. It's like the bus lanes put in that you never see a bus in. This is a road many people need and use!!

We need more accessibility with another 3k houses coming, not less. Pedestrians won't be safe walking if buses and residents can use the roads. They are more likely to speed. It is not the right road for walkers etc. Riverside would be a far better road to restrict traffic for the purpose they plan for Wolvershill Road.

It’s going to cause more traffic down the side lanes. Thought the idea was to improve traffic not make it worse. What benefit is that going to be to anyone.

Utter madness forcing private motor vehicles to detour miles. Has anyone performed a sustainability audit on the environmental impact this will cause?

Need to have Wolvershill bridge left open to stop congestion on Knightscott Road and Riverside and being used as a rat run.

I am a banwell resident and use summer lane and wolvershill road to get to the motorway and worle. The added time it takes to access the motorway if everyone is directed down the dual carriageway from the landinglight, Budgens roundabout quadruples.

We need this road open to get to the motorway instead of going through Banwell to the two roundabouts which can get congested

Totally disagree with this proposal... the bridge needs to stay open due to already congested roads surrounding this area
