It is vital that Wolvershill Rd remains open.

We are all hoping the road improvements will benefit the residents of Banwell and not make things worse. Closing Wolvershill will be of no benefit and have a detrimental effect on the local environment.

This vital road needs to be kept open for the people of Banwell and to prevent unsuitable roads being used as rat runs by others

Traffic congestion is bad enough in Weston super mare without closing important links like the bridge and will also effect local businesses I personally use a garage and also an MOT centre that would be greatly impacted by it's closure . Weston super mare is instantly gridlocked by any motorway closures closing this important link road would further impact this forcing hgv traffic onto single track roads as happend last week blocking routes for cars as frustrated lorry drivers try unsuitable alternatives

No to Wolvershill closure. Poor urban and traffic planning for congestion. Expanding developments and more cars on the road. Limited access options to M5 for Banwell, Winscombe, Cheddar, Axbridge residents. Poor quality alternative routes, eg Rolstone.

Closing Wolvershill motorway bridge would be disastrous for not only the people of Banwell but also established businesses and farmers who have deliveries and taking hay and silage also straw back to their farms and would also stop the people of Banwell easy access to the shops and supermarkets that have served them for decades

As a delivery driver keeping wolvershill road closed causes us problems, routes have to be split, keeping our customers waiting longer and the congestion on other roads due to the closure is causing havoc!

The havoc caused by the recent closure of Wolvershill showed just how appalling the traffic will be on what are supposed to be country lanes. The current infrastructure cannot cope with the access to and from the A370 and that’s before 2800 new homes add to it.

The crosier will cause havoc especially with another 3000 plus houses just in Banwel and all the neighbouring villages

Madness to shut the bridge will make the traffic worse

Closing the Wolvershill Road bridge just doesn’t make sense to me. The high volume of traffic being forced to go round to the dual carriageway between Flowerdown Bridge and Morrisons means any benefit from closing Wolvershill Road will be wiped out. Instead, it will exacerbate the already difficult traffic flow around the dual carriageway, as I have discovered these past few weeks while Wolvershill Road and Summer Lane have been temporarily closed.

Please keep wolvershill bridge open. Without it, Banwell residents are cut off from train station, M5 and supermarkets etc. Closing it would also force traffic which would otherwise be going that way to head into the village causing congestion and add to pollution and travel times.

I am totally against the closure

Since woolvershill Road has been shut, it has caused even more chaos trying to get out of Weston, it will only get worse as you build 1000’s of more houses and everybody trying to get to the motorway up 2 lanes, you seriously need to re think your plans.

Last weeks closure of the M5 demonstrated why Wolvershill bridge MUST be kept open as chaos reigned along Riverside as the only atlernbative route from Junction 21. This was a 'real-life' scenario - not some hypothetical desktop modelling of traffic flow- Stop the madness of potentially closing Wolvershill road bridge NOW

The idea of closing this route north from Banwell was obviously planned by someone that doesn't live anywhere near the affected area. This is going to crest one of the worst traffic bottle necks in the whole southwest.

Nothing wrong with the bi-pass.But people from Banwell need to be able to travel back and forth easily to Worle for work or shopping.
