Farming down rolstone road is already a nightmare to use the road. 60miles is ridiculous when due to too much traffic the road has disappeared into the ditch making it unsuitable for two way traffic. Walking, cycling or horse riding.

Closing this will make the lanes more of a rat run they can’t cope with the amount of traffic they have now let alone if this road closes

This surely can not happen. I live in Winscombe and use the bridge to get to the motorway every single day. This will have massive impacts on my travel time. I will have to sit in traffic and drive the whole way around.
This is also going to massively impact my wife who has a business on Gobbles Farm. This needs to be reassessed.

The bridge on Wolvershill Road is a vital link to the Supermarkets at the Worle end of Weston Super Mare.

This will have a huge impact on daily living if it goes ahead adding an extra half hour each way of exiting the village. I already have a blind daughter, an autistic son with various conditions who need numerous appountments throughout the week. What is already a drag may become almost unbearable.

This shutting of this road will cause major traffic issues along the road past locking parklands which already has 30 minutes queues in the morning !

Closing Wolvershill Bridge would increase the traffic on the smaller country roads with people in Banwell/Winscombe etc who travel to North Worle avoiding having to take a massive detour (which has been the situation for the last 4 weeks with Wolvershill Road being closed) and these roads are not designed to take this extra traffic.

Closing this road will disastrous for every local community and will isolate rather than include both those who have transport and those who don’t .
You will drive the youth away . Connectivity is poor now without shutting a key road

Wolvershill Road is a desperately needed link between Banwell and Worle, used by the growing population of Banwell to access facilities in Worle and Locking Castle, as well as residents of Worle / Locking Castle with children at Banwell School.
During school runs and rush hour, when this need is greatest, the consequences of the Wolvershill Road bridge being closed to regular traffic would force everyone to use the bypass (which is often heavily backed up with traffic at those times of day), or Riverside (which is not at all suitable.for heavy traffic).

The traffic is awful coming out of Banwell towards Weston when wolvershill Road was closed due to the school traffic now the secondary school is in locking! Took me 40 minutes to get from Banwell to meadvale!

The last few weeks with it being temporary closed has caused so much traffic…ridiculous idea for it to be closed permanently!

Please do not close this bridge to traffic as it will cause so many issues as stated in the petition.

The temporary closure has increased traffic on that a371 and put pressure on the airport round about and runway roundabouts wich has increased congestion and driving time significantly. Permanent closure and increased numbers from the new housing would make people seek alternative routes. The permanent closure would also cut off communities in winscombe, Sandford and other villages off from worle which provides the nearest supermarket and train station causing more miles to be driven and increasing air pollution.
