It is a life line for people living in Sandford and Winscombe.

I think this is madness to block off one of only 3 routes to the A370. You are, in effect, adding an additional 4000 vehicles to an already crowded and underdeveloped route... Without an acceptable and thoroughly thought out alternate route, this will only result in worsened travel experiences for all...

Closure will increase congestion and pollution in other areas

Yet another ridiculous idea from our local council. Keep the road open!

Please keep this lifeline open for us, devastated that it’s even being considered for closure.

The bridge opens the route for doctors and shops etc and is used often. Don’t want to lose that access

We use this road to get my son to the nursery that is in west wick and if this road were to close we would be late daily and get caught in the ongoing traffic ques

This will force all traffic onto new ring road causing more congestion down to helicopter museum roundabout which happened with recent road closures and make make more pollution for traffic heading for the main super markets of Sainsburys and morrisons. and cause more use of narrow rat runs which are unsuitable for lots of extra traffic.

This route is needed to save pressure on other routes in the area.

Keep the Wolvershill Bridge open to allow Banwell residents to easily commute to Westwick/Worle/M5 junction areas

why remove something that clearly serves a lot of local people?

We travel through Banwell to Churchill every day, collecting young people on Wolvershill road often.. The route to be left open is always severely congested, and if we have to approach wolvershill by going through Banwell first, it's going to be horrendous, it's already bad. Who ever thought this up must honestly not be thinking about the businesses and people living in the area. Or be aware of how awful the traffic is already, and how extremely bad it gets when traffic has to be diverted through Banwell when the local junction has to be closed due to accidents. The other week it took us 3 hours to get home from Churchill to Weston Village. Please please, see that this is a really stupid idea.

We need to keep this road and bridge open for convenience of West wick using the doctors and shops in Banwell and Winscombe

This is an ill thought through step with minimal viable alternatives. Would only make sense if a new link road from the Banwell bypass was to be built, but that isn’t in any plans.

Madness.

Absolute madness closing the road. Peak traffic on the dual carriageway is always horrendous. Recent M5 problems caused even worse gridlock than usual channelling all traffic along A371. Where do these people making decisions about our area actually live themselves, obviously not locally.
