Keep Wolvershill bridge open: A lifeline for our community!

Don't close it, added 30 to 40 minutes to my journey to Blagdon from weston these last 3 weeks. Nightmare

Would be so difficult to gain access to the small businesses at the bottom of the bridge.

This would be horrendous for the local businesses on Wolvershill road. Specifically for me Toogood’s gym based at Gobbles Farm. To attend this gym after work in the evening from Worle I would be unable to make classes in time owing to the already excessive traffic routed down the dual carriageway by Morrisons. Many other clients would be the same with most travelling from this direction and therefore having a detrimental effect on this business. This is the only women’s gym in the area so it is not a case of being able to move to another gym either. The owner has recently invested in providing us with a larger space at Gobbles Farm due to the popularity of this gym. This seems completely unnecessary and is unfair to both the owner and clients. Is this another ‘funding’ bus lane that will not actually be in use?

Closing this route shows the council's complete indifference to their client's best endeavours to live just a reasonable life.

As a Banwell resident that need to access the motorway regularly for work, it has been really difficult getting to work over past few weeks when wolvershill rd has been closed. Need road between locking parklands and mead fields open which has been promised for years to open if wolvershill is going to close. The A370 is so congested in a morning already without forcing all Banwell residents to go that way too

This would cause even more delays for people. Traffic is bad enough without closing the bridge.

I use this route every day.

Closing Wolvershill Road will impact greatly on traffic congestion in the surrounding area, especially along country roads. With the build of 2800 homes traffic volume will increase enormously.

As I work as a field service engineer and travel all over the southwest, getting out of Weston at certain times is a nightmare and closing this road would make it 10 times worse,they need to put another motorway junction by Knightcot rd bridge

Closing this bridge to cars will mean people living in Banwell will have very long routes out to normal places to shop and work, meaning any benefits to the community from the bypass will be undermined. Rat run routes along Riverside will be ruined by increased traffic and are utterly unsuitable to take the number of journeys likely to use them if this plan is implemented.

Please keep this open as this is an integral route in the area from Weston to Banwell and beyond and will cause further congestion if closed to traffic.
