Keep Wolvershill bridge open: A lifeline for our community!

The road has been closed recently and the congestion along the A370 dual carriageway is ridiculous.

Keep it open it’s vital for my commute to work

I use it on a daily basis, it saves time, and, therefore fuel and emissions

Grossly unfair to existing residents who will have a 5 minute trip to the Morrisons retail centre turn into a 30 minute journey depending time of day. I suspect many will shop elsewhere and wonder if Morrisons realise the impact this could have on their business.

This proposed closure will be detrimental to the local community and increase congestion on the alternative routes

I use this route daily for work

Our town is gridlocked most of the time, this is the last thing we need

Totally agree the road really needs widening anyway but closing it won't help

How to make the already congested roads much more congested, especially with the housing growth in the area. Not environmentally friendly to do this, extending journeys, more traffic on the congested roads potentially stationary in peak times so more pollution! Access to Morrisons & the M5 from Banwell, Locking & Elborough will be greatly impacted. Rubbish idea.

Stupid idea

The closure of Wolvershill bridge to the general public would be an utterly moronic decision by NSC. It would cause me an additional 20 minutes of commuting per day, it would cut access shops and cause untold pollution. As somebody who lives on wolvershill road, this decision would be devastating.

Stop trying to make Weston impossible to live in.

Another stupid idea from NSC

This is needed.

The traffic build up on the dual carriageway is at breaking point. Closing the bridge will cause nothing but more issues and traffic. The bridge won’t be used by foot traffic enough to justify closing it.
