Absolutely ridiculous idea. Weston roads are already gridlocked as it is. You can't take away another main route for people.

I fully support this petition to keep this route open.

Since the closure of the bridge traffic on the A371 /A370 has increased substantially with queues increasing emissions by the local primary school / traffic lights in Locking. Traffic at 5am is speeding in the 30/40 mph areas and I have witnessed cars overtaking on the wrong side of the bollards at high speed on a regular basis.

I have close friends in Winscombe and Cheddar and often go Banwell garden centre and live North Worle. Therefore this is my quickest route.

This is definitely a well used road to access Supermarkets in Worle and the bus and train links. It is thus vital to maintain a balance of traffic using the roads from the local villages to the above
If restricted it could cause extra emissions at a time when these should be limited if possible.

Very concerned about closing wolvershill road as the traffic on A370/A371 has increased to impossible levels .

This would devastate all the small businesses along Wolvershill Road, many of which are close to the proposed closure.
This would mean a journey of 5+ miles to get to Worle or the motorway rather than the 1-mile journey presently.
How does this help the Green agenda?

Closing wolversill road would be like closing down the village. As it’s the best way to get to worle and surrounding areas and especially supermarkets

Wolvershill is a necessary link and can only assume those that are suggesting closing this road to normal traffic sit behind a desk and have no experience or knowledge of using this road.

My commute has trebled as they have shut this road and still not opened the road through Locking Parklands and the Meade estate

I can't believe that someone would be so dumb to close Wolvershill Rd as chaos would be caused elsewhere on the local road system.

Absolutely ridiculous closing wolvershill rd, it’s a lifeline route for the residents of Banwell, for which I am one.

I think it’s a ridiculous idea to close this road there are very few buses using the route, but it will cause a long detour for Banwell residents going to Boots, Morrison’s and Matalan please don’t do it.

Wolvershill closure will lead to devastating levels of traffic elsewhere in the village, most notably Riverside and West Rolstone Road, roads which are buckling under the current levels of traffic as it is.
