This is mad closing a main exit and entrance to the Mendips

This was not part of the original proposals which limited access in one direction. As a disabled resident of Banwell it will cause me long delays getting to the motorway for my hospital appointments.

I live on the locking parklands estate. The temporary closures of sunny lane and wolverhill Road have significantly impacted on the traffic on the A371 making it much more difficult to get out of the estate in the mornings and evenings. This wait and increase in traffic on the roads will be increasing pollution in the area. If the wolvershill road is closed completely this will only get worse as the numbers of homes being built and occupied increases on the parklands and on the Hayward village sites.

At least keep it open until the lLocking link road is open, why this isn’t already is a mystery.

Residents of Banwell have suffered a massive increase in traffic congestion directly related to the housing developments in this area. Closing Wolvershill Road will in effect be forcing traffic onto Riverside /Rollstone Road ( a single lane not much better than a cart track). The planners need to realise that the infrastructure just can’t support their out of scale building programs. 3800 more houses planned for Banwell and you are closing Wolvershill Road to the existing residents of Banwell village. Has anyone in the Planning Council seriously thought about the consequences of these plans?

Why would you close it but leave it open for buses. It’s actually retarded

You will kill the current Banwell village and make life so difficult

This is not good closing this road...to much traffic on the roads to close this..

Other routes are over used now, it's insane to close Wolvershill.

Closing this road will only cause more congestion on the other roads. Opening the road through Locking Parklands has never happened

Need the roads kept open for ease of congestion not closed and snarl other roads up

This is the main route to the motorway and Worle the closure would cause chaos. The alternative route is Riverside which is a single width road with subsidence which causes huge traffic jams or clog up an already busy road to the helicopter museum and towards Morrisons. This is without the extra traffic from all the new houses being built.

This proposal will cause so much congestion on the A371, it has already been a nightmare with the closures over the last month. Can't believe this was even considered a good idea!

Ridiculous closure, it is not a road suitable for buses and how many actually travel down it . Weston can already be difficult enough to get out of due to the limited number of ways to get across the motorway .
