Would rather have a local supplier and support an excellent local business .

Very disappointed that GDST and WHS are proposing to go down this route. Our daughter has now left WHS but we very much appreciated buying uniform & kit from a local supplier and a familiar face. If the objective of this procurement exercise is to secure lower prices, it is surely for those paying (the parents, not the school) to make the decision, and perhaps they should be consulted/offered a vote?

Have been very well served by Wimbkedon Sports for 15 years at least and they have always been excellent.

There is no reason to change suppliers, so why not support a local family business?

Village Sport have always provided excellent service, and is local to the school. Although John Lewis is a respected retailer it does not prvide the convenience for fitting or the flexibility that Village sport offer

Village Sports have always provided excellent service in supplying WHS uniforms. As a privileged, independent school WHS should be supporting the local community, not taking business away from it.

Village Sports provide an easy fast and efficient service with polite and knowledgable staff. I would greatly prefer then to continue being the supplier for WHS.

Well done for setting up this petition. It's a nonsense for Village Sports to lose our business based on something looking very like a 'faceless bureaucracy' we'd hate the GDST to become! Local businesses are very important to our community, and we should have been consulted.

GDST should set an example by supporting local, family-run businesses.

Parents are buying so parents should have been consulted

My daughters have been at the school since 2002 and have always been proud that the school uniform is supplied by a local business who offer a great service. I am disappointed that the GDST would make such a decision without asking parents. We should support our local businesses not damage them.

In the same way as we support our local High School, we would like to continue to support our local uniform supplier.

Both my daughters attended WHS between the ages of 4-16 and over those many years Village Sports provided an excellent service.

Village sports are a part of the Wimbledon Community and we need to support our community. Local sourcing is environmentally friendly and greener. The School did not list green issues as a criteria for selection of its supplier - what example is this to our children.

Please retain this excellent local supplier. Our daughters have weekend activities; it will not be easy to find time to go to Kingston for clothes fittings.

It is more convenient to go to a shop in Wimbledon - the catchment area of the school, than to order online and have to do online returns or traipse to Kingston. I see no benefit in ceasing with Village Sports. They should be allowed to continue stocking the uniforms and parents can decide between the 2 choices. Allowing competition is no bad thing.
