30 years ago my family worked together to design and build our dream home on the Winnapaug golf course. This was meant to be a long-term investment, and more importantly a place of peace and family enjoyment of Nature on the salt pond, including the views of our beloved Westerly beaches and ocean. I was both disheartened and appalled to learn of the potential for development in this area. Please protect our precious Westerly charm, along with the investments and dreams of taxpaying Westerly families. Keep Westerly green!

It’s getting disgusting. Keep it as is. “Workforce Housing”? Really?
Leave the space alone.

Winnapaug Golf Course is an iconic town treasure. Please ensure that it remains an 18 hole, par 72 golf course.

As a Shore Road property owner, I bought there because of the green space and limited beach traffic. This will hurt our beautiful location and hurt the environment.

This is disastrous for the Town of Westerly. How and why is the zoning changing to benefit developeras??? Certainly, not for the benefit of the residents of Westerly.

Since we are not able to attend the Monday night meeting due to Covid-19, we want to express our opposition to passing any bills to allow Winnapaug Golf Course to erect any additional buildings on their property or seek rezoningto do so. I believe meetings at this time are to get the bills past because no be wants to attend events with large crowds. With very little representation of opposing residents at these meetings, I’m afraid that is what would happen.
We have been residents of 66 Shore Road for over ten years and don’t want to see more congestion in our area let alone low income housing. And we definately would not want to incur the costs involved in sewers in our area by paying higher taxes.
