I agree that zoning should be for the common good. Westerly is a very lovely part of Rhode Island and this area in particular should not be changed. It would be a shame.

I bought into this neighborhood after reviewing the zoning to the golf course. I didn’t want to live in an area surrounded by hotels/apartments. This zoning change would allow just that. We shouldn’t be changing zoning to favor the pockets of a few. Zoning should be for the common good of the people who live in the town.

Are we forgetting this is land taken from Native Americans? I'm disgusted the effort and money is put forth to destroy this land rather than preserve it. The ancient history of our region is lost to this continuous foolishness.
