Preserve green space where possible. Preserve Donald Ross courses always. Identify underutilized, vacant town land as efficient cost options for low income housing development.
Winnapaug CC/Golf Course is a coastal jewel that needs to be preserved.

As a long time summer resident this historic golf course should remain the way it is.

Any changes to the Plan need to be carefully considered and precisely worded. We recently moved to Westerly from a town in CT that spent hundreds of thousands of dollars fighting with developers over what and was not allowed.

Too many McMansions & condos in Westerly, and not enough green space.

There are plenty of homes around the course as is, not to mention the devastating environmental effects on Winnapaug pond with property expansions. Golf courses already have an extreme negative effect on the environment regardless of said property expansion. Nothing but greed and nothing that benefits the Westerly citizens. Keep Westerly green.

Winnapaug is a Donald Ross designed course, opened in 1922. Why would anyone want to destroy that history? Winnie has a gorgeous and challenging design in a beautiful tranquil town.

Have been full members of Winnapaug for a few years. Concerned about irresponsible and unresponsive developers changing the course.

Stop developing to appease the New Yorkers moving into town. We just passed legislation to save tidal ponds in the same area, this is not in keeping with the future land use map and comprehensive community plan. Shameful and an absolute money grab.

The negative impacts, including pressure on the existing infrastructure, services, and reduced environmental amenity... will effect the entire town.
The changes should have been put before the voters not left up to a handful individuals.
