I graduated from this campus; probably wouldn’t have gone at all had I had to drive to Opelika daily.

I am an alumna of Southern Union State Community College, and firmly believe that the Main Campus designation should remain at the Wadley Campus where it was originally founded, and established and served for so long. To do otherwise would totally devastate our local communities and disrupt the long and storied history of this institution. We need Southern Union here in Randolph County -- where it was born and where its evolution was shaped.

The main campus should remain in Wadley. The heart of SU is in Randolph County. I strongly support SU Wadley!

As a nontraditional graduate of Southern Union in 1991, I can say that had Wadley not been the main campus I nay not have graduated. As a mother of two with one in kindergarten, I needed all courses to be offered in Wadley. If that had happened then I would not have been able gone on to earn a dregree from Auburn and one from Georgia State in math education then teach math for 23 years. I am sure there are hundreds or thousands such stories. Southern union in Wadley was a perfect fit for me and if that beacon of hope is taken from the community I fear others in similar circumstances will not have the opportunity to better themselves in this rural area of the state.

There is no place like home. And that is what Southern Union was to me home. Great faculty and facilities and I met some great friends throughout my years there. So I'm willing to do all I can for SU! Alumni98

Keep Wadley as main Campus of Southern Union. What a terrible mistake it would be to change it.

The SUSCC headquarters at the Wadley campus has a historical background and should not be changed. The Wadley campus is an integral part of this Randolph County and is a cultural hub for the County!!

As a former adjunct and full-time instructor in Englis at Southern Union State Jr. College from 1968-1973, I firmly and unequivocally support the Main Campus/Base Campus remain in Wadley. Preserve the historical integrity of this instuitution. Would you move Auburn to Montgomery, AL. Would you move the U of Alabama to Birmingham. Very similar parallels here!

The only things that will come from this is a community will lose many jobs and it will be economically detrimental. The pros definitely to not outweigh the cons in this matter. Keep Southern Union in Wadley!
