My son played football for the city of Virginia Beach and it helped mold him and give him the structure he needed. It's unbelievable that the City of Virginia Beach would not help these young boys as they try to find themselves through their adolescent years.

The citywide athletics department is turning their backs on the kids of Virginia Beach. It's a shame that city leaders were unaware of this and they worked autonomously to make this decision.

Football is a great sport for young men. It teaches valuable lessons in teamwork, integrity, camaraderie, and most importantly discipline, as these boys turn into young men. To take Tackle Football away from them would be a tragedy. Keep the sport an option and leave it to parents to decide what is right for their children. Thank you
