I doubt those 14 cases were even related to the milk itself but to the conditions of the farm, which, like any farm, require high standards of cleanliness. Stop the witchhunt on raw milk and find something better to do..

FSA should rather concentrate on ensuring dairy farms are well maintained with good healthy practises and leave the milk raw with all its goodness intact

I brought my children up on raw milk and now that I live in the UK I would prefer to purchase raw milk. I believe we should have a choice.

The current regulations are more than adequate to offer protection to consumers; there is no need whatsoever to make things even more difficult for the farmers to supply raw milk to people who wish to consume it.

It would be nice to have the option for raw milk and raw yoghurt, kefir, cheese. We need these healthy bacteria and calcium badly.

It shouldn't be raw milk that should be under examination. It should be the unnatural practices that create the need for pasteurisation that should be changed. Lets stop focusing on the symptoms and focus more on the problem itself. Healthy animals create healthy foods which create healthy human immune systems. Milk is a medicine and a complete food source. Pasteurisation destroys nutrients.

Truly organic, raw milk produced in clean conditions is FAR more healthy for human consumption than anything pasteurised or processed by man. I am aware of a nutritionalist in the USA who has changed to raw milk and her family has now followed suit and they have been reaping the benefits ever since. Milk contains "good" bacteria etc. that keeps the milk safer; these are killed off by processing. I used to spend most of my time on a farm where they had one jersey cow for the house. The milk would stay safe to drink even when left out of the fridge on the counter top for quite some time. We NEVER got ill drinking it.

I Think it is sad that I live in rural environment and am surrounded by four dairy farms and none of them will sell me Raw milk as they claim it is illegal to sell it, yet they all claim to drink it themselves.

We need to be able to make our own choices about what we consume and what we consider to be the healthier options. How can we allow people to smoke tobacco in this country and yet not buy raw milk and dairy products? Which of those two items causes the most health problems? Give u a break and let us choose. Do not choose for us. If you ban raw milk, I promise you I will find a way of getting it any way I can. Tell me also why many people with lactose intolerance can drink raw milk with no problems? STOP MESSING WITH OUR FOOD!!!!

Given that herds are TT tested there seems no need for the enforcement rules that prevent the sale of raw/unpasteurised milk.
