People should be given the facts and left to make up their own minds - I have only ever drank whole milk as have my children as I consider raw milk the best thing ever to boost your immune system!

'There's not one species of mammal on earth, that feeds its young pasteurised milk. It's unnatural'. When God promised Abraham a 'Land flowing with milk and honey', He was not referring to pasteurised milk!' Breast is best!

There is no real risk from drinking raw milk and considerable benefits from doing so! It makes NO sense that I can buy fags and booze but the nanny state wants to force processed milk on me!

I love raw milk and wish we could buy it in our local farm shop.

Raw milk has an excellent safety record. Consumers deserve the ability to choose whether they wish to consume raw milk and we do not want this choice taken from us.

I certainly would like the FSA to continue to monitor the safety of all milk products. However, I would like to point out that the safety record for raw milk is extremely good and the nutritional benefits to be derived from its consumption are significant. I would therefore encourage the FSA to relax regulations on its sale while maintaining a close watch over its safety.

I have been using raw milk for the past three years. I find it much easier to digest and feel very well on it. I also prefer the hygienic dairy practices that raw milk producers have to adhere to.

I am in total support of the campaign to give the choice back to the consumer on whether they want raw milk or not. I love the raw milk I purchase each week.

I fully support drinking raw milk on health grounds. We buy raw milk and cream every week and have benefited greatly by having these in our diet.

See: http://wiseuptohealth.com/putting-the-fear-of-god-into-milk/ for my views on the safety of raw milk, and why we need to preserve this choice, when fully monitored to ensure farms are run safely.

The choice to drink raw milk should be left to the eater.

There is no proof that raw milk causes dangerous illness. The level of bacterial infection is significantly lower than from many other foods that are freely available. Many cultures survive on raw milk and have done throughout the ages. In my opinion, raw milk tastes better and is better for me. It is my right to consume what foods I want (as well as to have information about the provenance and scientifically-assessed safety levels of these foods). I am a fan of the state but I would regard state intrusion into my desire to eat raw milk as an offence against my rights.

I am willing to take responsibility for the very small risk of my becoming ill due to the consumption of unpasteurised milk. I am happy for the FSA to monitor the bacterial content of milk but I do not wish it to be banned from sale.

Our dairy farmers must be able to make a living from simple farming, not mega dairies which are cruel, unnatural and unnecessary.
