Like all 'refined' foods, the purifying process generally removes most of the health giving properties. We drink milk assuming it is full of vitamins, minerals and essential enzymes that help the body assimilate calcium. As far as I understand from some of my reading on the subject, pasteurisation destroys most of the health giving elements in milk.

We drink milk assuming it is full of vitamins, minerals and essential enzymes that help the body assimilate calcium. As far as I understand from some of my reading on the subject, pasteurisation destroys most of the health giving elements in milk.
