The athletic department thinks they can just sweep this program under the rug and hope we go away quietly. They are wrong because we are watching every move they make and we are not backing down until this decision is reversed.

I am proud to have been able to a part of the UAB Blazers Football program. It would be a huge mistake to shut down the UAB Football program because the coaches and players since day one have worked very hard to make this program successful and the caliber of other schools in college football. This school done a lot of great things and made such huge strides since joinning division 1-A college football in 1996. The coaches and players today deserve to be allowed to continue this tradition and should be allowed to have football at this school and should not have this school's football program shut down just because someone is doesn't think they should have it because they deserve it and work hard during practices and games to prove it and this season especially shows it.
go ahead and shutdown the program. Me and 50,000 other students won't give UAB another penny and won't even think about ever sending my kids here. Disgusting decision

I LOVE UAB! We need to keep uab football. It will ruin so much more than just football if we were to end this program!!!! UAB is birmingham's team!!!
Not only will this affect every single UAB football player, it will also negatively impact the rest of the sports programs. #freeUAB

Removing football impacts more than just athletics. It impacts students in the music program which impacts local schools and churches. UAB students play in weekly services and assist in teaching local HS band/color guard students. THINK before you act!!!
