The money saved by the loss of staff will mean a loss of options for students.

Being able to be in band and singers has been amazing and is my most favorite thing about school. Let other students like myself continue to have opportunities like this. If we were semesters now i wouldnt be able to take both classes and yes maybe only few students in both band and choir but, the band program is gaining more and more players and some may want to do band and choir. Dont take that away both the band and choir program will be at a lost. Dont forget about the kids who are in band and AFJROTC or choir and AFJROTC. All of these programs will be losing and thats the last thing we need cause these classes bring atudent together.

I've graduated, and always loved trimesters. Semesters are long, and dreadful. Garden city thinks by doing this it will increase student accountability, but it will actually decrease it.

Why would they change it back anyway? That's so random. We know what we are doing with trimesters and there's no good reason to change it.

The one class you're planning to take away, is the only reason some kids show up to school. Remember that.

Honestly, changing it will only mess up a lot of people's plans, and what classes they planned on taking next year. It will also mess up a lot of people's credits.

The switch will hardly solve one problem and create many others. It isn't just a minor thing to lose credits and have to make those up as it seems to be implied to be.

The whole purpose of the action, replacing trimesters with semesters, is in the effort to save money; however, the money will be saved by ruining the education of: future scholars and those scraping the bottom of the educational barrel to get by. This is all the while a superintendent at "all-holy" central office makes six figures. Many of the "higher-ups" with their hands in the playdough that is this ignorant endeavor very rarly if ever enter a classroom. To make decisions with mine and my peers' future, is a hefty responsibility to manage. Many even claim that the effects of returning to semesters cannot be seen until the die has been cast. This is my speculative opinion here: maybe asking the ground troops (teachers) or the products (students) might help. Here is a quick summary of what this decision is. Money > A Strong Education. Check please.

Having trimesters is better for every student at the highschool. It gives all students the chance to experience having multiple different classes, and with trimesters we have less of a chance in doing so.
