Keep Town & Country within the Dry Creek School Boundary

Really poor decision to disrupt tons of families lives, cause undo stress on kids at a pivotal time in their social development as a temporary solution to a school population issue. I am not up on the transfer students issue, but if it's true students are being transferred in from other outside areas and getting to stay at Dry Creek when those who live right in in the community are getting kicked out, I will be 'ticked' off and this fight will get turned up to 11! This is lazy design (just look at the map, it's nuts!) and clearly a poor power grab trying to take from Dry Creek what it has earned and built with the hard work and dedication of it's community which includes Town & Country!

Years ago, when they built Bud Rank, boundaries were changed and many kids from Dry Creek were moved to Bud Rank. So now, the problem is overcrowding at Bud Rank! So now the District wants to move kids from Bud Rank back to Dry Creek?? And now Town & Country families are supposed to just move over to Century? This is a very poor idea because Deuville and Town & Country are very close to each other, Deuville families and Town & Country families co exist outside of the classroom. Our family goes over to Deuville on 4th of July.....walking distance from Town & Country. Our kids all play together due to close proximity. Splitting up these 2 communities should not be an option whatsoever. Please rethink this and send the overcrowded kids from Bud Rank over to Century or Cedarwood. This would impact the least families as possible. Let's just put emphasis on where the problem exists......and leave Dry Creek out of this.

KEEPING TOWN AND COUNTRY IN DRY CREEK IS A MUST!!

CUSD: Don't make a Harlan Ranch/Bud Rank overcrowding problem a Town & Country problem. A brand-new 144 home development (Benchmark) and some large lot properties just south of Hwy 168 are being moved out of Bud Rank and into Dry Creek. As a result, Town & Country is being moved out of Dry Creek. The goal should be displacing as few students as possible. Keep Town & Country at Dry Creek (for numerous reasons) and move the Benchmark community and rural properties south of Hwy 168 to Century or Cedarwood.

When a family considers and moves to a particular neighborhood, part of their decision making hinges on which schools their children will attend. When this decision is disrupted and changed by others, potentially causing a hardship, that family should be given the option to stay at a particular school.

Keep the community together and intact. Clovis prides itself as a community of family values and excellence in schools. Avoid fracturing both and the overall impact to Dry Creek Elementary, one of the finer schools in the district.

We have 4 kids. One just graduated last year from Dry Creek. We want the other three to graduate from Dry Creek. It is the reason we moved in the neighborhood. We WILL move again in order to stay at Dry Creek if we have to!!!

The proposed change would leave families in both Town and Country and Deauville feeling as if they moved cities away. The neighborhoods are fully integrated and should remain as such. Boundaries should be changed within the district to cause the least amount of impact as possible. That isn't what is happening.

We moved into Town and Country specifically so all 4 of our kids could go to Dry Creek. As our oldest is now at Alta, we have a 5th, 4th and kindergartener at Dry Creek. If the boundary changes took effect, my 5th grade would finish elementary in a new school amongst strangers, not participate with his lifelong friends at the appreciation ceremony or complete his Block DC. We have been at Dry Creek for 6 years so far and have gotten to know, love and appreciate the staff and teachers and trust in who is guiding our younger kids for their future as all four kids have had the same teachers throughout. If the changes take place, we will without a doubt move out of the home we love and back into the Dry Creek boundaries.

It will cause a lot of problems for many of the kids to switch schools.

New boundary for Town & country is not logical. Keep this sub division at dry creek elementary!

Parents purchase homes in certain areas so that their kids can attend the school they want and grow up with the same group of friends. Please don't change this boundary line!

I moved into this neighborhood so my children would attend Dry Creek. I can't believe with the boundary change you are excluding us.
