Looking toward the eventual completion of Vickers Village and Golding Place, we can only expect additional traffic on Thompson Pl., meaning that all those walkers, joggers, strollers, children and families will be sharing the street with even more vehicular traffic. If ever there was a corridor in desperate need of a sidewalk, Thompson Place is it!
Roswell officials talk about the importance of connectivity and walkability and we completely agree. Considering how near this older residential area is to the busy Canton St. corridor, it makes little sense that someone living just one street away, should have to drive to get there safely.

Completely agree. We live off a road off North Coleman, but don't want to walk down Thompson to Canton because there are no sidewalks. Encourage more walking and less driving!

My dog walks are always a challenge with the traffic speeding by. A sidewalk will be a much needed addition to Thompson Place!

Yes! Sidewalks are needed on Thompson and all surrounding streets. We walk these roads everyday and it is getting more dangerous by the day. Also, there should only be parking allowed on one side of the street, as the road frequently is blocked by cars parked on both sides.

City Hall-you have brought the visitors, traffic and businesses to our once quiet neighborhood. In order for the residents to enjoy the fruits of your labor, please add sidewalks, speed bumps, and/or safety measures to keep us all safe. As the photo shows visitors are parking on both sides of the street. This makes it very dangerous for traffic to flow up and down the street, not to mention the safety of any pedestrians.. Also, if an emergency vehicle was ever needed to access a home on this street or adjoining ones (Nancy Trail, Windy Pines, Long Circle) it is doubtful the vehicle would be able to make it in a timely fashion. I have been a resident here for 37 years and all I have been able to do was to get the stop sign placed at Long Circle to slow traffic down. The time has come for more to be done.
