Would Hume council tell parents to remove 2 of their children who are being well cared for? NO! This is exactly what they are doing to this family of humans and their furbabies!

Shame on you Hume Council for promoting irresponsible pet ownership! You gave them the permits to start with and that should carry over for the term of these dogs lives, which may only be a couple more years for the older ones. These dogs are well looked after and shouldn't be torn away from their family. Their owners WILL NOT give up without a fight and have the support of the community behind them. Whoever is dealing with pet permits at the Hume Council needs to be fired! You do not put expiry dates on family members!!

Who is it really hurting? I'm sure that there are other ways then to just split them up. They are a family. Could you imagine being told to do this tp your kids cause u have too many.

How unfair and disgusting to drag ELDERLY dogs apart from a family who’ve had them for YEARS. That’s all these dogs know and they’d die if they were taken away at this age now. It’s disgusting and so upsetting to hear the council would do this especially with no reasoning. The animals welfare should be put first and we know they’re being treated beautifully there.

As a resident of hume council residing in Broadmeadows I find it disturbing that my local council offices would take action like this. And I have not been able to come across a reasonably practicable explanation as to why Hume Council would take drastic action like this against a something loved and adored by not just one family but many families residing in Hume municipality.
