Closing the Infoshop would cause a serious decline in information on developing countries available not only in Washington, but in the whole world! Please don't do this.

I love the World Bank Bookstore (Infoshop) and I want World Bank management to reconsider its decision to close the store. World Bank management, please keep the World Bank bookstore open (at its current or other location if necessary).

I met my husband at the Infoshop 23 years ago. I buy all of my books from the Infoshop. Please keep the Infoshop open.

I love the infoshop and is one of the first places I go to show any visiting friends or family the full knowledge repository of the World Bank. It would be a shame to see the only outward facing part of the World Bank disappear

This bookstore features books not ordinarily in bookstores and provides an intellectual service to the nation's capitol. located so near the White House it attracts an international audience. Every visit is an education. Each time I go there I buy books Ive never heard of but must have. What a shame if a restaurant, bar, or fast food chain were in this location? Feeding the lower needs rather than the higher ones, for the sake of rental income would tarnish the reputation of the World Bank's administrators. It would be a day that would live in literary infamy.

The InfoShop has been my source for the most interesting books across all genres over the past 8 years. Browsing through the InfoShop is more than looking for a book.
I cannot imagine Penn Avenue without the InfoShop.
Please do not close it. We would loose so much more than a book shop.

This is a great bookshop that attracts many non-World Bank patrons who in the course of their shopping learn about the WB. The international fiction section in the store is the best I have ever seen. I have discovered so many new international authors because of the excellent selection in the shop.

I think closing the bookstore would be a big mistake. There are lots of people interested in actual books and the trend that showed people moving towards ebooks is starting to abate with more young people seeking the physical books. On top of that there are no bookstores in the area. So please keep this valuable asset of the WB Group active and available to the community.

I don't understand why the Bank is closing the InfoShop. The Bank and it's staff do wonderful work world wide, and the InfoShop is one of the least costly ways of getting our story out. How much can we possibly save to make this a smart move.
