Jul 25, 2016   I use the InfoShop once in a while, and I take visitors to see the InfoShop often. It's an "intellectual sanctuary" of the World Bank Group. Please don't shut it down.

This is a good public service by the WBG and a positive way to engage with the public. And it recovers its own costs!

Just like there is no substitute for a book, there is no substitute for a bookstore, its atmosphere, and easy access to knowledge.

The bookshop is an important medium. It is an important tool for knowledge management

The World Bank needs more public engagement, not less.

Please keep the Infoshop open - it serves an important role for both the WBG staff and the public and has only gotten better over the years.

I love the bookstore and haven't found anything comparable in DC. It's convenient in proximity, equipped with a great selection of most recent and interesting literature, and a great 'public relations' tool for the WB - to become know to a broader audience. Please keep the bookstore!

Please keep the Infoshop open. It serves a broader purpose for the WBG - beyond simply being a place to sell books.

Info shop was where I first found out information on the Bank before applying and joining. It inspired me!

The InfoShop should be expanded, enriched and made more attractive, rather than being closed down. Remember: we are a Knowledge Bank :-) - and as that we should keep our only window to the public open and accessible.

The Infoshop is a good resource not only for World Bank staff but also the public, external stakeholders and community organisations within the development sector. Options to explore expanding other uses within the bookstore should be explored, e.g. A coffe shop.

I can understand that things may need to change, but is there not a way to refresh the outlet by keeping the bookstore, but incorporating an external café and WB information center that would allow staff to meet visitors without clearing them through security. Also, it seems we could benefit from having a small information center that displays the history and key activities of the WBG, perhaps updated with some of the latest projects. The bookstore may need to reduce its size a bit, but should still be able to exist under this plan.
