I don't see the rationale for closing the Bookstore as long as it is sustainable. It is a must do for all bank visitors. It is the face of the Bank. Closing it would make us look more like a black box for others

You really need to keep this open. It is important to so many people. It makes absolutely no sense to shut it down. No sense at all! World Bank you are supposed to be a resource to the public. Do not stop being that please by closing the bookstore down.

I really like this shop. Every time I came to DC I visit the Infoshop and buy books from here. I can not think off this shop might not there at the corner

It seems to me the InfoShop serves both practical and symbolic purposes. Practically, it provides a very close-at-hand source of reading resources for bank staff and others. Symbolically, it asserts that the bank and its staff are continually striving to grapple with changing world issues.
In my view, closing the InfoShop would send a poor message to bank staff and others about what the bank is about.

Awesome place! I have been going there for the past 25 yrs and could not believe that it is coming to an end. It is a One-Shop-Stop. Also love the gift souvenirs. It has saved me valuable time (not to go to through the hassle of looking for a Bank vendor and preparing a PO and processing the payment) + save $ since Vendor tends to charge more if we are only buying less than 500 items. Please keep our beloved Bookstore open.

Thank you all for the support. I'm amazed by the lack of alignment between being a knowledge organization with increased staff engagement and this decision. In regards to knowledge, which other resource has a selection that approaches development topics in all of its perspectives? It's a fallacy that ebooks, or electronic bank publications will fill the hole left by the Infoshop closing; we know that directly from customers. How can an organization engage staff without listening to them, abolishing a landmark that has been so important for the corporate culture and staff enjoyment for years? You can't impose or fake engagement, you earn it, little by little.
