This is a fundamental key part to the operation of the world bank. I'm hoping that this avenue isn't closed. There are far more other options please reconsider.

The bookstore provides a diverse sources of books that are not necessarily readily available in other bookstores and certainly not as conveniently located.

Closing the Infoshop is the ultimate symbol of how out of touch certain senior management is with both the Word Bank’s mission and how the institution presents itself to the outside world. What’s the comparative advantage of closing your interface with the public if you are the self-described knowledge bank? There isn’t one. Why decide to close a much beloved feature of the World Bank now, abruptly, after more than four years of painful internal reorganization? Coupled with the recent decision to dissolve the Office of the Publisher, more questions should be asked about the priorities of senior management and their commitment to the institution’s long history of promoting the dissemination of knowledge and research.

As an employee of the World Bank I consider the Info Shop an important landmark, especially at it's current location. I have directed so many visitors to it when they had asked me where they can shop for WB souvenirs and purchase books on information about the World Bank etc. Please do not close the doors of the Info Shop forever. We are proud to say that we have an Info Shop of our own. Thank you.

Let me add my voice to the many asking that the InfoShop remain open. Rather than close it, there are certainly many ways in which the way it is operated can be updated in order to increase revenues. Reorganizing the layout, putting on events (talks and book signing bring in customers) and better marketing could widen the clientele considerably.

I am hoping World Bank management will not close the Infoshop. As a retiree it has been my place to go and get memorabilia and books and I cannot find anywhere else. Please keep the Infoshop open!

I am a WB retiree. I often visit the Book store when I come to the Bank. It's a place filled with the WB fruitful achievements and devoted staff's greatest contribution.

Best bookshop in DC. Serves an important function as a crossroads on paper of thinking on development, economics, finance and informed reasoning. Not enough of that available.
