What is a knowledge bank without a bookstore ... an impostor. Electronic files and websites disappear, books remain.

What possible justification can exist for closing the bookstore?? I vote for keeping it open.

No other book store exists in the Washington DC area with as large and comprehensive selection of books focused on topics and issues of concern to WB professionals. The bookstore is an invaluable center for learning. Please reconsider your decision to close it.

I am a regular user of the Infoshop. It introduces me to books that I will see no where else.

An appalling decision that is shortsighted.

Please consider my signature as that of one hundred (100). I would hate to see the book store closed.

The Bank's book store is a treasure as a ready source of development literature as well as Bank publications. Internet is not a substitute. Why not re-think its marketing / outreach strategy rather than closing?

The Infoshop has been a resource for me since 1981. It is a reason for me to fly across the country to visit, browse and shop.

.must stay open - one of the few places where one can fund this material . Part of the Bank's service to the profession. Move it to less expensive location maybe but keep it.

This is the most relevant and unique bookshop in the USA and Europe serving the Bank's Clients, development specialists and students of Development. Does the management no longer care of how we are seen by these communities as a NON caring and exclusive Bank?? shame on you. Keep it open

The bookstore has been a knowledge oasis for staff and visitors for years and is a "must visit" location for Bank and general public development scholars and practitioners.

The WBG is supposed to be a knowledge bank. The bookstore is the one and only entry point to those outside the institution, and this is the only serious end comprehensive bookstore on "development issues." If the WBG cant afford it, then who.
