I can't think of any sound reason in this 21 century to prevent people from knowledge. Please keep this shop open.

I hope that the WB Management reconsiders its earlier decision and keeps the Infoshop open. It not only has been useful for my work, but most of all it is very useful for visitors from the US and abroad that want to learn more about the Bank. For many people, having a book on a development issue has a more lasting effect showing the positive achievements of the Bank than the knowledge that somewhere on the internet the same information could be downloaded.

Closing bookstores is like threatening endangered species, shuttering old movie theaters, and tossing model T's onto junk heaps just because you don't have the guts to stand up to your shareholders and say no. Not this time. Go peddle your incessant craze for profits onto some other project, but leave this treasure alone. Once things like these are gone, you can never go back. Preserving a culture in D.C. -- kind of essential for one's happiness.

The Bookstore is very helpful to chose reports, books on development to keep up-to-date; and for meaningful gifts to visitors, and friends.

For those of us who have retired, the InfoShop is the ONLY way of keeping in touch with what is going on at the Bank, and to get the updated data disks of the WDR. Please do not close the InfoShop.

The WB owners and employees may think the WB must move now w/IT latest world trends................but the rest of the emerging markets people are behind by some 40-60 years.......so pls wait another 20 years to reconsider a decision driven to save paper and just politically correct...........pls put more time and money to creating jobs and do good by increasing resources in planting trees, biomass power plants w/King Grass in the world via forestry projects.......wood is also key for construction materials as one will see it all over WsahDC area. EGH

Please reconsider. It has been an institution where Bank staff and public alike utilize for various informative reading materials. It has been an iconic structure visible to people from all walks of life and it needs to remain open. Thank you.

The Infoshop Bookstore is a very useful one stop store to find books that I need and relevant to my work in the Bank and as a professional. This store has been always my top priority place that I visited whenever I visited Washington DC. It should not be closed!

the Bookstore and InfoShop are more than the name suggests. if budget is the reason, it won't be a good one !...happy to volunteer to lower management and other recurrent costs
