This is an amazing resource for sharing the work and knowledge of the World Bank and others in the field of international development, strategically located just steps from the White House. Closing it would be a great loss.

The InfoShop is an amazing resource and directly supports the World Bank's efforts in being a "knowledge" bank. I have not seen another bookstore that has the range or depth of books on development related subjects. Please reconsider your decision! Keep the InfoShop open!

The Bookstore has been a landmark in Washington. It also represents a good place where people interested in development, sensu latu, can see what the Bank is doing in the world. Generally the publications are of great interest.

The InfoShops that says we are an open institution. It does the public relations work of the Bank quietly and I believe effectively.

I visit the bookstore regularly on my 3/4 Washington trips each year. There is nothing like it! Please reconsider your decision to close it.

Keep it open please. As a retiree, it has been my window to the Bank. I am sure, many others in the area feel the same

Downtown DC needs bookstores - subcontract it to the private sector with some restrictions that they must carry WBG publications.

This is a wonderful bookstore, with offerings you cannot find in any other physical or virtual store. And it is the only part of the Bank facing the public. The Bank should devote effort and resources to promoting it both as a store and for outreach rather than shutting it down.

It would be a shame to close our infoshop bookstore. It is very convenient and I often go there to buy and get books related to our mission in the Bank as well many of other interesting books.

I am a WB retiree and live in Europe When I travel to DC, twice ayear, the Bookstore is the only place where I can find information about the WBGroup evolution and changes.

While I understand that many publications are available on-line, and many potential customers are overseas, I feel that having the bookstore both serves customers and serves the broader "image" of the WBG as an institution which reaches out and shares experience and research.

In my opinion, the Infoshop is a vital medium for keeping the general public informed of the Bank's development activities and thereby facilitating dialog with civil society

WB Bookstore is unique as a source of information that's hard to find elsewhere. Furthermore, it is invaluable to foreign 1818 Members for keeping abreast of hard copy versions of WB reports. Senseless to close it.

The WB bookstore is not only the face of the Bank, it is a valuable resource for students and scholars. I visit it whenever I am in DC.

Unfortunately, it's being shut down simply because a new VP isn't interested in having it under her purview.

THE WB BOOKSTORE IS THE FACE OF THE BANK FOR A WIDE COMMUNITY OF RESEARCHERS AND STUDENTS. WITHOUT THIS, THE EXCELLENT RESEARCH DONE BY THE BANK WILL LOSE AN AUDIENCE.
