The bookshop should be kept open. It is a verse useful source of information for visiting delegations from member countries, Bank staff and former staff and the public (visitors). Trying to access bank documents on a website is not the answer for accessing reports, books and other publications. Being able to see them is important for all people interested in development!

There is no justification, particularly with "knowlede bank" focus. Office space as higher better use for that space? Impossible with the limited occupancy of allotted offices and mission travel. Do we have days?

There is a good business case for the Infoshop: after all DC brings together many actors that have a stake in how the Bank operates. Keep it open!

In these days of growing desensitization fueled by social media and this frenzy of madness called the internet, it is sad to hear that the last bookstore in the downtown Pennsylvania Av area (one of the most important streets in the world) is shutting down. Do you all realize how much we lose when books are taken out of the hands of young and old alike, and replaced with mobile devices? Generations lose the opportunity expand their outlook on life and to learn from the best minds. Instead we steer them, none too subtly, towards the lure of social extremism and violence perpetuated and encouraged by the internet without the soundness of books to balance it out. Wake up, World Bank, live up to your name and realize that you are not only serving the internal, but the world as a whole. Keep the Info shop bookstore alive!

I always enjoy stopping by the bookstore while visiting from New York City. Quite a wonderful selection of books and research materials, as well as knowledgeable staff. The location near the UNFCU branch was ideal. I hope the decision to close will be reconsidered. Thank you!

I love this bookshop - it is close to GW and carries books that are not available in other book stores. I have purchased music, dictionaries and international research materials here. The variety of perspectives has enriched my thinking. Please reconsider.
