The Infoshop is unique -- no other bookstore in the DC area (and probably anywhere!) has the wide array of publications on development and related subjects immediately available for purchase.
Infoshop directly promotes the goals of the World Bank Group and is an invaluable resource to World Bank staff and the broader public (including the next generation of development practitioners and researchers).

I visited this bookstore when my sister, Caroline Cheng, was working at the World Bank DC office this spring. It was one of the best bookstores in the world! The merchandise was thoughtfully curated. I found interesting and excellent business titles that reflected the skills of today and tomorrow. My interest was sufficiently stoked that after going through my purchases, I continued my studies when i went home. Please keep this excellent bookstore!

Infoshop is good place to find new WBG publications and other good reads. It is a WBG icon that talks to visitors about WBG mission and operations.

When I mentioned to my father, who had often made the InfoShop a key destination for when he visited DC, and other friends in Egypt that the InfoShop was closing its doors, they were surprised. I heard comments like, "Oh No, why?", "what a shame", "I loved going there", I bought some many interesting books there", "why do they have to close all the book stores?" I think it is a huge loss for our outreach. Even if the age of online access is upon us, I would hope that a knowledge bank would still support all means to access such knowledge. Let's not lose a landmark and an important venue for knowledge dissemination and access

Every year over 10 million visitors comes to DC. some goes to see the White House passing the World Bank bookshop. Some visits the book shop and buy books and other stuff. If they do not have the street access how do they visit the bookshop and how much revenue are we looking. think about it.

This bookstore is a great resource for World Bank Employees as well as for the general public. It would be a great loss to close it.

The World Bank prides itself as a leading "knowledge management" institution, and the InfoShop bookstore is the public face of that role. It is a valued, iconic resource that the Bank would be wise to continue. Although established as a public resource and not for profit, it could easily be made at least financially self-supporting through the addition of fee-based services, a cafe, etc. Please keep it open!

If "a home without books is a body without soul", then a city without bookstores cannot be a mindful one. Losing this bookstore is losing an important part of this city and the bank..

I am an employee of USAID and I frequently pick up materials at the Infoshop. The loss of the facility would be a great loss indeed.
