The city finally backed down and the Upper Lachine underpass is staying open. We forced them to listen instead of letting them destroy our neighborhood access. Keep watching them because we are not going to let them try this again.

Final supporters
- This is a terrible mistake that will isolate the southern part of NDG and make access to the Vendome metro station & bike path more difficult.
- This will increase traffic on Sherbrooke St, St-Jacques, Cavendish, Girouard and other streets that are already congested.
- The closure will have a negative impact on merchants and businesses on Upper Lachine Rd.
- The closed area will not benefit from the new MUHC hospital.

The city is ignoring our community and planning to choke our streets with this idiotic underpass closure. We are pushing toward our first big milestone, so get this link to your neighbors right now before the planning committee hides behind more red tape.

Sherbrooke is a nightmare already. Closing this will just make the whole area gridlocked. Bad idea.
Don't kill the local shops!! They need that traffic to survive. STOP CLOSING EVERYTHING.
How am i supposed to get to the metro now? This city is so out of touch with how people actually live.
Ridiculous! NDG is already impossible to get around in. Fix the traffic instead of making it worse.

i use this road every day for work. if they close it i have to drive way out of my way. leave it open.
