I am an alumnus of CASH and I know that physical education is key to a healthy lifestyle. As a a former student of this class I am aware of how well it educates the student on the necessity of resistance training and exercise in general. It goes beyond your routine gym class. The program, I am sure, has only improved in the 15 years since I tool the course. It would be a detriment to the student body and the community itself to not have this educational tool available to the students of Coatesville School District.

You guys should not get rid of this class. My brother has taken this class since 9th grade, (he's now in 11th) and has had so much fun with the class, and getting stronger & fit. I was really looking forward to this class as a 9th grader next year. I was going to take the class all throughout high school. I am a cross country and track runner and I was going to use this class to get stronger for running. I am also sure if you ask anyone in middle school about this class, they will tell you that they were excited to get fit for their sports that they play. But, this class isn't only for kids that are getting stronger for sports, it's also a class for anyone who wants to get fit and stronger. If you get rid of this program, you are making a big mistake.

The Strength Training Program was instrumental in rounding out my daughters highschool experience. Along with supplementing conditioning for sports; it gave her confidence and a desire to continue good excersize habits into college. Furthermore, the program inspired her to persue a career in physical-therapy.

The Strength Training Program should not be affected at all. I stand by this because after hearing the stories of my brothers experiences in the class I also looked forward to taking the class when I got into the high school. And I'm sure that many other students planned on doing the same. #coatesville#strengthtraining
