My family has lived in Stirling for about 14 years now and this building was always a really cool part of growing up here. It really bothers me that any group of people would think it is a good idea to shut it down, in fact it just doesn't make any logical sense whatsoever. This draws tourism from all over, and in a town this size that should not be understated. Time for the bullying to end, and let's ask some serious questions about how and why it even came this far. I'll be frank, I seriously question the competence of Stirling's council and know for a fact my family is not alone.

I have never been to Stirling AB., I would otherwise have no reason to go to Sterling AB. but for the interest in visiting your haunted mansion now that I am aware. Hopefully once the powers that be discover their error this blip in history can be looked back on as a positive in helping to spread the word of your attraction. Then hopefully all can be forgiven.

that is the most coolest place I have been to. They keep the wonderful architecture of the house in tact.

Get the Stirling kids to vote! How many kids did that place make happy to have in their back yard for so many years. And I agree with the grandfathering clause. See what happened to the farmer outside of Cardston who lost 10 acres of land to his neighbour "hands down" by a similar ruling in a high court, the Supreme Court of Canada, I think it was. That was reported in the Lethbidge Herald earlier this year.

I'm afraid I fail to see why the owners of the Haunted Mansion refuse to get the proper license. I agree that the Haunted Mansion is a valuable attraction for Stirling but I disagree that the Town of Stirling need to bend to any singular buisness' whims. Why should the Haunted Mansion be allowed to operate just cause it's been around forever? Many of the businesses in Stirling have been around for a long while. Should they also get to be free loaders on the community? Where's the democracy in that?

I have friends that travel all the way from Edmonton every year just to experience this place. It is a unique gem that draws people from all over Alberta and it needs to be saved!
