I have been a resident in Bayview for 34 years. It is a shame that the tradition might be broken. Majority should rule.

It's a tradition and would be a shame for it to end. I will not attend like I usually do every year if the "blowing up the beach" part is taken away.

my dogs haven't been thrilled about the blasts but it's a couple minutes. of fun each year. the frolics tradition is being whittled away each year. let's stop that decline. focus more on motorist safety (stop at intersections). and crowd behavior than the highlights of the festival. and bring back parade!!
