We do not need a lift, to publicize our mountain. This is a hidden gem should stay that way.

This doesn't belong here. It is only a public ski resort and the beauty of what we all moved to Spring Creek for will be an eye sore to all those who love it out here. Please leave the Rubies alone. There are plenty of ski resorts that people can travel too that already exist.

Leave the ruby mountains alone. Stop trying to build on them and ruin the natural beauty. Besides, the roads to that area are gravel. Who will maintain those roads in the winter time? Who will do the rescue missions when people with large wallets from California get their little cars stuck in the snow drifts on the way to the PRIVATE ski resort? Lamoille highway already has enough problems with high amounts of traffic and people already don’t follow the speed limits posted. Let’s just amplify the amount of traffic out in spring creek and flood it with rude people who road rage because they have the money too.

This area is extremely marginal for snowfall. A ski resort would have a devastating impact on the environment and water supply.

As an Elko County resident who is supposed to move to Spring Creek in the fall, this has me second guessing staying in the area. I moved here for the beauty and for nature. Since this has passed, I am now looking to other states to move to that have natural beauty. While it would be sad to leave the community, I also want to live where the landscape stays natural and protected. I don’t want to live where despite the majority that of residents not wanting this, that it is approved to what seems like only a selfish financial gain for the county. I never thought I would be leaving the area but this is one thing that will definitely make me reconsider staying!
